CLEARWATER, Fla. – (May 21, 2010) – Russ Bieber has joined Murphy Business & Financial Corporation, one of North America's largest business brokerage firms, as a senior certified business intermediary. In his role as a senior business broker at Murphy Business, Bieber is responsible for identifying qualified buyers and facilitating the sale of privately held businesses, assisting the Murphy franchise team in conducting training classes and seminars for new and experienced Murphy brokers, and providing other support functions to Murphy franchisees in the United States and Canada.

Murphy and Bieber were founding members of the Business Brokers of Florida (BBF) and served together for several years as officers and directors.
Bieber brings specialized knowledge to the position, having worked in the business brokerage field since 1981. In addition to business brokerage, Bieber’s experience includes business appraisals, site selection/market evaluation and business operations consultations. Prior to joining Murphy Business, he held management positions at Tampa-based business brokerages James H. White and Associates, Inc. and First Venture Group, Inc. He then purchased the Clearwater, Fla., location of VR Mergers, Acquisitions and Business Sales, which he owned and managed for 12 years. After selling his VR franchise office in 2006, Bieber remained with the firm as their sole certified business intermediary for four additional years.
A licensed Florida Real Estate Broker since 1988, Bieber is uniquely qualified to coach and train business brokers, having formerly served as a member of the VR Business Brokers Corporate Education Committee and a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) Education Committee. He is currently a certified instructor for the International Business Brokerage University of Chicago and teaches throughout the country at IBBA educational conferences, as well as at meetings for various state business brokerage associations.
Bieber has attained the Certified Business Intermediary designation from the IBBA and has also been awarded the Fellow of the IBBA title, a prestigious honor bestowed upon only a small percentage of certified business intermediaries. Requirements include IBBA membership for 10 or more years and that the member makes significant service contributions to the organization.
In addition to his supporting role establishing the BBF, Bieber also formerly served as vice president and charter member of the Florida Business Brokers Association (FBBA). He is approved as an expert in business appraisals by the County Courts in Florida’s Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.
